The online application process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2019 for Indian Institute of Management (IIM) has officially begun. Candidates may apply through the official website, iimcat.ac.in on or before 18th September by 5 pm.
The exam, which is scheduled for 24th November, will be held in 156 cities across in two sessions. The time limit for the exam will span around 180 minutes. The questions will be given in three parts — Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability.
Students clearing the exam will get admission in several programmes including PGP, PGDM, PGPEM, EPGP, PGPBM, PGPEX, at various IIMs across the country.
IIM CAT 2019: Eligibility criteria
Candidates must at least be a graduate with a minimum of 50 percent score or equivalent.
Candidates in the reserved category, that is, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) are required to at least have 45 percent marks in their graduation from any recognised university by the government.
Those who are appearing for the final year of graduation may also apply.
Steps to apply for IIM CAT 2019:
Visit official website and register (if you are a new candidate) or else login.
Fill the required details of the CAT application form.
Upload the necessary documents and pay the registration fees as per instruction.
For General/EWS/NC-OBC candidate, the application fees charged is Rs. 1900/- while for SC/ST/PwD candidates, they will have to pay Rs. 950/- to appear for CAT 2019.
The admit card can be downloaded on 23rd October 23, one day prior to the exam. While the date of declaration of result is the second week of January 2020.
