The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai is set to host a team from IIT Bhubaneswar in the fifth phase of Yuva Sangam, a cultural exchange program, being held between November 26 to December 6, 2024. The initiative, which is part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat campaign, aims to promote national integration by fostering a deeper understanding of India’s diverse cultures.
Under this phase of Yuva Sangam, IIM Mumbai and IIT Bhubaneswar will represent their respective states, Maharashtra and Odisha, and will involve students from these states in various cultural activities. The program envisages a delegation from Odisha visiting Mumbai, to experience Maharashtra’s rich cultural heritage, traditions, and cuisine.
The week-long program will feature a series of cultural interactions and learning sessions, including visits to some of Mumbai’s landmark monuments. Participants will also get to savour authentic Maharashtrian cuisine, enhancing their understanding of the state’s culinary traditions.
Speaking about the event Prof. Manoj Tiwari, Director, IIM Mumbai spokesperson said, “This initiative not only helps preserve and promote India’s diverse traditions but also brings students together in the spirit of unity and national integration. This event will leave a lasting impact on the Orissa students, offering them a unique opportunity to experience and appreciate the cultural richness of Maharashtra furthering the vision of a unified and diverse India.
