IIT Bombay’s Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) hosted ATMAN 2.0, an event showcasing the latest innovations in Agri-IoT translational research. The event brought together top researchers, academic institutions, and industry leaders, highlighting the intersection of technology, academia, and agriculture.
The event featured participation from premier institutions, including IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIT BHU, NIT Warangal, and VNIT Nagpur, with over 20 deeptech projects presented during the expo and funding pitch fest.
A ₹10 crore funding corpus was unveiled by TIH, aimed at supporting seven standout academic research projects. These projects will also benefit from technical development assistance and lab-to-market guidance.
In a boost to academia-industry collaboration, the event saw attendance from prominent industrialists representing Poonawalla Fincorp, Tata Communications, Jio, Tata Chemicals, and L&T. Emerging agritech startups also showcased their innovative solutions.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Milind Atrey, Deputy Director (Academics, Research, and Translation), IIT Bombay, who said, “ATMAN 2.0 is a proud milestone for IIT Bombay, bridging academic innovation with industry to deliver real-world impact.”
Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology (DST), remarked, “This event represents a major step in transforming academic research into impactful solutions. ATMAN 2.0 highlights the importance of bridging the gap between labs and markets to advance national progress.”
