The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has topped the list among all Indian universities in the QS World University Rankings 2024. This year, IIT-B has been ranked #149.
The 20th edition of the QS World University Rankings has featured over 1,500 institutions from across 104 countries. This year, QS claims to have implemented their largest-ever methodological enhancement, introducing three new metrics: Sustainability, Employment Outcomes, and International Research Network.
With a score of 51.7, IIT-B has improved from its 2023 rank of #172. They are ranked highly on the parameters of employer reputation, citations per faculty, employment outcomes, sustainability, and academic reputation.
Second in India IIT-Delhi ranked at #197. Even this premier institute is ranked high on employer reputation. At rank #225 is the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. It slipped from #155 in 2023.
Worldover, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has been ranked #1. University of Cambridge and University of Oxford have been ranked #2 and #3 respectively.
