This is that crucial time of the year when students are engrossed in last-minute revision as the board examinations are just about to begin. Whereas this may seem as one of the toughest phases in life, upcoming entrance exams just post their boards would be much tougher as it would decide their career’s streams and colleges.
Admissions to higher education professional courses will be decided on the basis of the merits obtained in these entrance exams. Here are a few important entrance exams and their important dates for class 12 students.
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE): One of the most important examinations of the country, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022 will be held in June and July in 2022. While the JEE Main Session 1 will be held from June 20 to June 29, the JEE Main Session 2 will be conducted between July 21 and July 30. The registration process has begun from April 18. Candidates can apply at jeemain.nta.nic.in by April 25, 9.00 p.m. The last date for payment of the application fee is 25 April, 2022 (up to 11:50 p.m.)
JEE Main is conducted for students who wish to get admitted to colleges including the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs) in engineering and architectural courses across the country. Based on the JEE Mains performance, a candidate is then made eligible to appear for JEE Advance, 2022.
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET): NEET 2022 will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on July 17, 2022 (Sunday). The National Testing Agency (NTA) has already started the NEET UG 2022 application process on April 6 and will continue till May 6. Aspirants willing to appear for the examination will have to register through NTA website- neet.nta.nic.in.
Examinees, however, are requesting the authorities to postpone the exam as some students are of the opinion that Board exams will end only in June and there would be not much time left to prepare for the examination.
NEET examination is for admission to MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental /AYUSH and other Colleges/ Deemed Universities /Institutes (AIIMS & JIPMER) in India.
Common Law Entrance Test (CLAT): The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) released the CLAT 2022 application form on January 1, 2022 (2 pm) on its official website – consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Candidates can complete the CLAT 2022 registration and fill the application form on or before May 09, 2022. The examination date is on June 19, 2022, from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. It has also been announced that CLAT 2023 will be held on December 18, 2022.
Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET): The registration process for the Common Universities Entrance Test has begun on April 6 and will be continued till May 6, 2022, 11.50 p.m. The official website for the same is cuet.samarth.ac.in. Students who wish to get admission to the undergraduate courses in central universities, will have to apply for CUET 2022. This newly-introduced exam administrated by National Testing Agency (NTA) is a computer-based test with Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) pattern. The examination will be tentatively held during first and second weeks of July. Candidates have been advised to keep checking the official website for updated information.

Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI): The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has rescheduled the exam dates for CA Foundation May 2022 exams. As per the revised schedule, the exams will be conducted on June 24, 26, 28 and 30. Candidates can check the notice at the official website https://www.icai.org/.
Earlier, the foundation exams under the new exam scheme were scheduled to be conducted on May 23, 25, 27 and 29. The exams have been rescheduled due to clash with CBSE and CISCE board exam datesheets. Meanwhile, there will be no change in the exam schedule of intermediate and final examinations. The Intermediate exams will begin for group I will begin on May 15 and conclude on May 22 while the exams for group II will be conducted from May 24 to May 30. Final exams, for group I will be conducted between May 14 and 21 while for group B will he held from May 23 to 29.
National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology Joint Entrance Exam (NCHMCT JEE) 2022: National Testing Agency has revised the exam date of NCHMCT JEE 2022. The new NCHMCT JEE exam date is June 18, 2022. Earlier the exam was scheduled to be held on May 28. The application form to apply for NCHMCT JEE 2022 is available online till May 3, 2022. National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHMCT JEE) will be held in computer-based test mode. The exam will be held across 78 cities from 10 am to 1 pm. National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India that regulates academics in the field of Hospitality Education & training in India. NCHM JEE is for admission to B.Sc (Hospitality and Hotel Administration) programme offered by affiliated institutions.
