Indeed, the world’s no.1 job site, in line with its mission to help people find jobs, recently announced its collaboration with the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) towards supporting the government-driven endeavour to skill the youth in Telangana and improve employability in the state.
Through the MoU, Indeed will offer TASK registered students the chance to attend educational lectures and career development workshops as well as internship opportunities. This will help create greater awareness to the scope for employment and also offer the chance to undergo practical training in technology field. Indeed shall also be assisting TASK with donating laptops to impart training to its registered students.
The MoU was signed at TASK office, Hyderabad in the presence of Sujiv Nair, chief executive officer, TASK, Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Government of Telangana, Douglas Gray, senior vice president – Engineering, Indeed, Amarnath Reddy Atmakuri, chief relations officer, IT Department, Government of Telangana and Venkata Machavarapu, Head of Engineering and site director, Indeed India.
Speaking at the MoU ceremony, Gray said, “As Hyderabad is one of the leading hubs for tech talent in the country, it is important that the talent emerging from the region has the requisite skills that the industry demands, in order to meet the growing need for a skilled workforce. We are committed to assisting TASK in its endeavour to equip the future workforce with the right skills to ensure employability.”
Nair added, “TASK and Indeed will work together towards creating a professionally-equipped workforce in the near future.”
