The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore better known as IIMB is a business school located in Bangalore, Karnataka. It was established in 1973 by the Government of India, and is the third Indian Institute of Management (IIM) to be established, after IIM Calcutta and IIM Ahmedabad. It offers several Post Graduate and Doctoral programmes, as well as a bouquet of executive training programmes. IIM Bangalore awards only diplomas, and not degrees. In addition to its main academic programmes, IIM-B is also engaged in research, consultancy, seminars, academic conferences and research publications. IIM Bangalore was ranked fifth in the Asia Pacific region in 2012
