Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIM-I) is a public autonomous business school situated in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. With the objectives of imparting high quality management education and training, the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India established the Indian Institute of Management, Indore in 1996 as an institution of excellence.
IIM Indore is the sixth addition to the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) family of management schools, and has been a leader in the field of management education, interfacing with the industry, government and PSUs. It is promoted and nurtured by the Ministry of Education, Government of India and is an institute of national importance under the Indian Institutes of Management Act 2017.
Situated atop a scenic hillock, the 193-acre campus of IIM Indore provides an ideal backdrop for contemplative learning. IIM Indore has the latest in teaching aids, rich learning resources, a strong IT backbone, state-of-the-art sports complex and hostels as well as contemporary infrastructure.
IIM Indore’s academic facilities include a learning centre (library), one computer lab, one finance lab, 28 syndicate rooms, 35 lecture theatres and 103 faculty cabins. The classrooms at IIM Indore create an atmosphere that is conducive to learning, while the lecture theatres/class rooms offer a linear seating arrangement whereas the MDP classrooms provide more flexibility with round tables which can be arranged in an ad-hoc fashion to facilitate more interaction among the participants. All classrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with all modern teaching aids. The Institute also has two auditoriums, each having an amphitheatre. Auditorium-1 has a seating capacity of 300 while Auditorium-2 has a seating capacity of 800, which is situated at the sports complex.
IIM Indore has a state-of-the-art sports complex, housing the best sports facilities for both indoor as well as outdoor sports. The sports complex houses the swimming pool, gymnasium, Meditation, Aerobics and Yoga Room, Cardio Zone Area and courts and fields for cricket, football, table tennis, volleyball, billiards, squash, tennis, basketball and badminton.
The campus also houses residential facilities in the form of separate hostel blocks for men and women.

Placements:
The IIM Indore placement cell organises and conducts the annual recruitment drives for final year students. Top recruiters across the world and India visit campus and recruit students, making excellent job offers. The placement cell also prepares students for the placement drives by conducting mock tests and interviews. Be it the preparation of the placement brochure to the summer placements and the final recruitments, the placement cell’s efforts are always directed towards providing the best interface suited to the representatives of an institute of high repute.
Recent placement highlights- 2021: Over 210 recruiters visited campus making lucrative job offers in various sectors of the industry such as e-commerce, automobile, media and telecom. The highest domestic CTC was recorded at INR 41.5 LPA, highest international CTC at INR 56.8 LPA, the average CTC at INR 22.92 LPA, and the institute witnesses a 23.5% increase in the highest CTC from previous years’ placements. Some of the leading companies who participated in the placement drive included Microsoft, Amazon, Paytm, Deloitte and BCG.

IIM Indore is ranked sixth for MBA/PGDM among management schools in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2021.
Single-seated/twin-sharing accommodation facilities are available for all the students in the campus premises with separate blocks/floors for men and women. Each of the blocks has a square in the center with courts, turfs and lawns. Each hostel block has a common room where facilities such as wall-mounted televisions with DTH connection, table-tennis tables, dart game and carrom and chess games are available. Each block is also equipped with water coolers and water purifiers.
The individual rooms are furnished with teak cots and mattress, a computer table, chairs, closets and shelves. All rooms have full-time internet connectivity with direct lines to the main LAN. The housekeeping staff is available throughout the week to take care of cleaning of rooms, corridors and rest rooms on a daily basis. Mess and canteen facilities are also available.
