“It’s good news that ICT has improved its ranking to India #3 among government engineering and technology universities. Since it was founded almost a century ago ICT has transformed from a chemical technology institute into a multidisciplinary university offering degree programmes in mathematics, chemistry, physics, biological sciences, green technology, among others. It’s fitting that we have been awarded the highest score on the parameter of curriculum and pedagogy supplemented with high scores for faculty competence and industry interface. Right from inception, ICT has had strong linkages with industry by way of research and consultancy projects. As a result, our faculty has played a big role in curriculum and pedagogy upgradation. We also host an incubation centre for companies to commercialise their products. In 2018, ICT started branch campuses in Jalna and Bhubaneswar. Plans to strengthen infrastructure and faculty in these two centres are ready for implementation” – Prof. Aniruddha B. Pandit, Vice Chancellor, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai (2,000 students, 120 faculty)
