“We are over the moon for being ranked India’s #1 special needs school for the second year in succession. This recognition is a testament to the unwavering dedication of our teachers, therapists, volunteers, and every member of the SPJ Sadhana school community. It reflects their passion, commitment, and relentless work to make a difference in the lives of special needs children. Our high score under the parameter of teacher welfare and development is proof that we encourage our educators to remain updated with new research and practices in special education. Top score under individual attention to students is because we maintain a teacher-student ratio of 1:3. Our new re-set goal is to participate in national and international conferences to share best practices, present research papers, and contribute to journals of special education. We are also planning inclusive practices to provide opportunities for neurodivergent and neurotypical students to learn and participate together in events such as concerts, sports, and acquire vocational skills through internships in mainstream industry” — Fionika Shanghvi (centre), Principal, SPJ Sadhana School, Mumbai (75 students, 35 teachers)
