The Indus Early Learning Center (IELC) at Whitefiled in Bangalore, was founded by the Indus Trust. The school caters to the early education needs of children below 6 years, acting as a feeder school for the main schools of Indus Trust. It has been ranked second among preschools in Bengaluru in the EducationWorld India Preschool Rankings 2019-20.
The facilities offered at IELC are well-equipped classrooms, Wi-Fi campus with interactive smart-boards, laptops for children, library, performing arts studio, fine arts studio, indoor and outdoor play area and a swimming pool. The preschool also serves nutritious lunch, health drinks and snacks and has staff trained in first aid, an onsite nurse and doctor on call.
The curriculum is play-based and nature-oriented and encourages children to enjoy learning and work. The curriculum has a special focus on leadership programs that empower children to discover values through community service, communication, conceptual thinking and creativity. The curriculum also focuses on community service to enable children to imbibe core values experientially. This is imparted by differentiated teaching in classrooms through individualized and collaborative learning. Children are also taken to various fun and educational field trips to bookstores, supermarkets, zoo, and botanical garden among others.
The preschool has a Special Educational Needs (SEN) program that focuses on eliminating barriers that prevent children from achieving their normal milestones. Effective strategies to meet these needs, in the form of Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) are employed by the school.
Admissions are open throughout the year.
IELC has been ranked third among preschools in Bangalore in the Education World India Preschool Rankings 2017-18.
