Yoga is an integral part of education at Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Gomtinagar – Lucknow. The school not only promotes yoga as a subject, but also organizes a number of competitions and events around it.
The 7th International Yoga Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm, albeit online. The day began with a special assembly wherein the audience was enlightened about the importance of Yoga in all its spheres. An online quiz on yoga was organized as well which saw a participation of more than 600 students, parents and teachers alike. A 20 minute yoga regime was shown and attendees were encouraged to practice the asanas.
Students were encouraged to practice yoga along with their family members and send the pictures through a google form. We received more than 550 entries for this competition, with the best 100 receiving a certificate.
