India’s leading figures in technology and science recently gathered at the GITAM Bengaluru campus for the RevolutioNex Industry Advisory Board Conclave, a daylong event aimed at reshaping engineering education to align with industry requirements.
Prominent industry figures, such as Dr. G Raja Singh from DRDO, Dr. Umamaheswaran from ISRO, and R K Shenoy from BOSCH, attended the event. It facilitated interactions between faculty, students, and experts, with a focus on restructuring GITAM’s engineering curriculum to make it more industry-oriented.
Themes and discussions covered emerging industry trends, mutual collaborations, the role of universities in meeting industry expectations, talent challenges, and success stories from programs like the BRAHMOS Missiles Program.

Prof KNS Acharya, Pro Vice-Chancellor of GITAM Bengaluru, expressed the university’s commitment to reshaping engineering education and collaborating with industry partners to establish R&D labs and offer industry-related electives.
Virander Singh Chauhan, Chancellor of GITAM University, stressed the importance of education beyond just skills, highlighting the need for students to graduate not only skilled but also educated.
