JB Vachha High School for Girls, Dadar is an all girls day school affiliated with the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education. The school was founded on June 24, 1924 by the Parsi Central Association Co-operative Housing Society Limited, with 25 students on its rolls and Mrs. Goolan Bulsara B. A. as the first principal.
A separate school building was constructed in 1927 with the effort of Lady Hirabai Cowasjee Jehangir and in 1936, Mr. Hirjee Colah, the sole Trustee of the Seth Jehangirji Burjorji Vachha Trust donated INR 2,84,000 to the school on the condition that the Middle and High School building be named as “Jehangirji Burjorji Vachha High School for Parsi Girls”.
The school campus hosts spacious and well ventilated classrooms equipped with Tata ClassEdge technology, a well stocked library, well equipped labs for physics, chemistry and biology, a cookery room, a computer lab, a dance hall, multipurpose hall, a skating rink and a playground.
The school follows the SSC syllabus prescribed by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education and offers education from class I through class X. The classrooms are equipped with Tata ClassEdge technology and lessons are delivered using the smart boards for better understanding and impactful learning. The school offers various extracurricular activities such as dance, music, arts and craft, cooking, roller skating and outdoor and indoor sports.
