JD Institute of Fashion Technology, a pioneer in the field of design education for the past 31 years, hosted a seminar on ‘Social Responsibility of The Youth’ in collaboration with FOR ALL (NGO) at their corporate office, Hauz Khas, New Delhi. The International fashion designer and chairperson of the NGO, Sonia Gurnani, and Retd. Major General P.K Sehgal was among those who attended the seminar.
The seminar witnessed discussions on ongoing social projects for the upliftment of underprivileged artisans and children. Students of the JD Institute also trained children of the NGO learn design skills to improve their living standards.
Rupal Dalal, Executive Director, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, said, “In India, 39% population is below 18 years of age. Being responsible citizens, it is our job to work towards bettering the lives of the deprived section of the society. Educational institutions are a bridge for mankind and with the growing time we have welcomed all the opportunities and interpretations of our students.”
