The National Testing Agency (NTA) will open the JEE Main 2026 application correction window for Session 1 on 1 December. The window will remain active until 2 December. Registration for the January session will close on 27 November, and the agency has stated that the deadline will not be extended.
Candidates can make corrections by logging in with their application number and password at the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Only one round of corrections will be permitted, and once submitted, the application form will be locked. Any changes that result in a fee difference will require payment of the applicable additional amount.
According to the NTA, certain details cannot be changed, including the candidate’s mobile number, email address, permanent and present address, emergency contact information and photograph.
Candidates will be allowed to edit their name, father’s and mother’s names, Class 10 and 12 details, date of birth, gender, category, sub-category/PwD status and signature. Exam centres may be updated based on current and permanent addresses, and the medium of the examination can also be modified. Applicants may additionally add the paper they intend to appear for and update identity details, except for those registered with Aadhaar.
JEE Main 2026 will be conducted in two sessions: the first from 21 to 30 January and the second from 2 to 9 April. The examination includes Paper 1 for BE/BTech and Paper 2 for BArch/BPharm.
