O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), an Institution of Eminence recognised by the Ministry of Education, has signed 15 new Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements with leading universities and institutions in 10 countries across four continents.
The agreements include dual degree programmes with the University of Geneva and the University of Melbourne, enabling students to split their studies between India and the partner institution and graduate with two internationally recognised degrees. Student exchange opportunities have also been finalised with the University of Rochester, UMass Boston, Masaryk University, Hertie School, ESSEC Business School, and De La Salle University.
In addition, faculty and research collaborations will be undertaken with institutions including FDC Business School, Rome Business School, Seton Hall University, Brandeis University, University of Michigan, Royal Holloway University of London, and Josai International University. These will cover joint teaching, visiting professorships, research projects, and academic exchanges.
Professor (Dr) C. Raj Kumar, founding vice-chancellor of JGU, said the partnerships are designed to “make international education an accessible pathway for many, rather than an aspiration for a few.” He added that JGU’s goal is to embed global exposure into the DNA of Indian higher education.
Professor (Dr) Akhil Bhardwaj, vice-dean & director of the office of International Affairs & Global Initiatives, emphasised that each MoU is outcome-driven and aimed at delivering “real, measurable, and accessible” benefits to students and faculty.
With this expansion, JGU’s international network now spans 550+ partner universities worldwide, reinforcing its position as India’s most globally connected university.
