Julien Day School (JDS), Kalyani is a co-educational day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. Founded by Late Grace Julien, the school is managed by The Julien Educational Trust, a private organization of people of the Anglo-Indian community. The school has four branches at Kolkata (Elgin Road), Ganganagar, Kalyani and Howrah. Julien Day School Kalyani was founded in 1988 and offers education from class I to XII.
The motto of the school is to generate in children awareness, pride in the country’s heritage and culture, and meet global challenges while maintaining traditional values.
The school hosts spacious and well ventilated classrooms, a multipurpose hall, a well stocked library, labs for physics, chemistry, biology and computers. The school also houses a cafeteria and well structured play area.
Affiliated with CISCE, JDS Kalyani offers schooling from class I to XII and offers science, commerce and humanities streams at the senior secondary level. The school aims at inculcating habits of piety, virtue, discipline and self-reliance in its students and special effort is made to ensure the academic excellence of all students including the slow learners.

SportsMinimum age for admission to class I is 5.5 years and above. Registration forms are generally issued during the months of October/November.
Admission to class III and above is based on an admission test while for lower classes, parents and the students are required to attend an interview with the admission panel.
