Kannada actor and filmmaker of Kantara fame, Rishabh Shetty has adopted a government school in his hometown in Karnataka.
Shetty has adopted a Government Higher Primary School in Keradi in Kundapur Taluk of Udupi district. With this, it is anticipated that the school could get a facelift.
Besides children and staff of the school, senior residents of the village had also gathered on the occasion and showered praises on him for the deed.
Incidentally, Shetty has also directed and acted in a movie Sa.Hi.Pra.Shaale, Kasaragodu (government higher primary school, Kasargod) whose storyline revolves around the student lives of a school in Kasargod. The critically acclaimed movie received good response from critics and won the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film at the 66th National Film Awards.
Shetty has also been in the news after the trailer of his movie Kantara-chapter 1, which is a prequel to Kantara has been released. The storyline of Kantara which was released in 2022, based on a local deity of the Dakshina Kannada region of the state has been much spoken about on national forums.
