The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced that the KCET-24 results will be published only after the announcement of the second round of II PUC and Agriculture Practical Test results.
In an official note on Monday, H Prasanna, executive director, KEA said that news circulating on social media platforms that KCET-24 will be announced on Monday (May 20) are rumors and not to be trusted.
As per the norms, the KCET rank list needs to be prepared considering 50% of the marks secured in science subjects of the II PUC board exams.
According to a newly introduced system in the state, this year, the II PUC examination will be conducted thrice, and among them, the maximum marks secured in the first two exams will be considered for preparing the rank list.
“Given this, it is necessary to wait until the announcement of the 2nd PUC second exam results to publish the KCET-24 results,” he clarified.
Further, the scheduled date of the Agriculture Practical Test for the B.Sc. Agriculture course is May 25. The results of this test are also required to prepare the KCET-24 rank list, he stated.
Asking applicants not to pay heed to false news, H Prasanna stated that KEA will officially intimate the results date prior to the announcement date.
