Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) results announced

Maharashtra: Highest ever pass percentage of 99.63 percent in Class XII results

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) on Saturday released the result for the Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2022.

Minister for higher education in Karnataka Dr CN Ashwath Narayan announced the results addressing a press conference at Bengaluru.  Students can check their results at kea.kar.nic.in, karresults.nic.in.
 
KCET is a competitive exam conducted by the state to decide admissions into various engineering, architecture and technology courses such as BVSc and AH, B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture, Business Management, B.Sc. (Hons) Sericulture, B. Pharma, B.Sc (Hons) Forestry, B.Tech (Bio-Technology) besides the Bachelor of Yoga course in colleges across the state. 
 
This year’s exam which was conducted between June 16-18 saw a total of 2,16,559 candidates apply out of which 2,10,829 candidates appeared for the test. 
 
As many as 1,71,656 students are eligible for engineering, 1,74,568 students for B Pharma and 1,39,968 for BSC (Agriculture), according to the KEA. 
 
Hours after the results were released, social media platforms were abuzz with complaints from students and parents over missing marks
 
Many who had appeared for exams complained that their missing ranks on their CET score cards.
 
Sources in KEA clarified that the Rankings will not be shown if the students’ registration number is entered (11 digits) . 
 
“The student must enter the student’s PU number (6 digits). Only then will their ranks reflect,” said the official. Such is the case for students across boards.
