The Karnataka Education Department has formed a committee for handling fake news reports and misinformation regarding the spread of SSLC exam 2020. The government may take action against such miscreants by lodging criminal complains against them. The Karnataka SSLC exam is slated to begin from June 25, 2020 and would continue till July 4.
About the conduct of the SSLC exams. there has been much fake news circulation on social media. Hence, the department has decided to form a special team to keep a check on the same.
As per the latest order issued by the Commissioner for Public Instructions KG Jagdeesha, nodal officers would be deputed at the state level and deputy director of public instruction at district level to monitor the Karnataka fake SSLC exam news. This is being done to conduct hassle-free exams in the state.
The time table has been released on the official website kseeb.kar.nic.in and the admit cards has been released.

Meanwhile, a group of experts which included intellectuals and educationists wrote a letter to CM BS Yediyurappa asking to cancel the board examination and allow ‘mass-pass’ for every student. In the letter, educationist VP Niranjan Aradhya said that they listed the scientific reasons to the CM.
The letter regarding the Karnataka SSLC exams read, “There are close to 8.5 lakh students and 2.5 lakh staff involved. If we include parents who would drop their kids at the exam centre, around 30 lakh people will be involved in the process, making it a risky affair. Though the government has said that it will separate the students with fever or other ailments, will students admit to having a fever? What if they consume paracetamol and come to write exams?”
