The overall pass percentage of students in the Karnataka II PU exams increased by 6.48 % as compared to 2023, according to the Karnataka School Examinations and Assessment Board.
Manjushree (centre), Chairperson of Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board, announced the results of II PUC (examination 1) in Karnataka in Bengaluru on Wednesday. As against a pass percentage of 74.67% in 2023, 81.15% students who appeared in 2024 passed the exams.
The examinations were conducted between March 1 to 22 across the state. This year, as many as 6,81,079 students appeared for the exams which were conducted in 1,124 centres across the state.
The pass percentage of girls is higher at 84.87% as compared to 76.98% among boys. Much like in 2023, there is very little urban-rural divide for the results with rural students outperforming urban students by 0.21%.
Among the high performing districts, Dakshina Kannada topped the list with a 97.37% pass percentage followed by Udupi (96.80%), Vijayapura (94.89%), Uttara Kannada (92.51%) and Kodagu (92.13%).
Bengaluru South and Bengaluru North are at position 6 and 7 with pass percentage of 89.57% and 88.67% respectively.
Among the government PU colleges, 91 of them have secured a 100 % pass rate while 2 have shown zero pass rate. Among the aided colleges, they are 26 and 6 respectively. Among the private unaided PU colleges, 345 scored a 100 % pass percent and 26 colleges saw no student pass exams.
