The results of the second PU board exams of Karnataka were announced on Tuesday and the overall pass percentage stood at 73.45%.
II PUC Exam 1 was conducted from March 1- 20 in 1,171 Examination Centers across the state. The Evaluation was done in 76 centers from March 21 to April 2 with 28,092 evaluators participating in evaluation work.
This year, as many as 6.37 lakh students appeared for the exams. The least pass percentage was among arts students at 53.29% while the higher pass percentage was among science students at 82.54%. The pass percentage among commerce students was 76.07%
LR Sanjana Bai, a student from Indu Independent PU college of Ballari district emerged as the highest scorer in the Arts stream in the Karnataka 2nd PUC exam with an impressive 597 marks. She completed her exam in the Kannada medium.
Meanwhile, Deepashree S of Canara PU College, Dakshina Kannada district aced the commerce exams with a top score of 599. Amoolya Kamath of Expert PU College, Dakshina Kannada district and Deeksha R of Vagdevi PU College secured 599, the highest in science stream in the state.
Meanwhile, the board announced that 2025 II PUC Exam-2 will be held from April 24 to May 8. There is no examination fee for girl students across categories and boy students of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Category-1. Students who could not write 2025 II PU Exam – 1 due to shortage of attendance can register for Exam-2/Exam-3 as a private candidate as per rules laid down by the Karnataka Secondary Examination Assessment Board. Minister Madhu Bangarappa assured students that they have additional opportunities to improve their performance.
