Following allegations that a teacher at the Urdu Government Higher Primary School in Shivamogga instructed students to “go to Pakistan” while reprimanding them for classroom noise, Manjula Devi, who had been working at the Tipu Nagar School in Shivamogga, has been transferred to the school in Hosamane Tanda, Hassan taluk.
Additionally, the Department of School Education has initiated a departmental inquiry into the matter. This incident occurred on August 30 when the teacher, during a class, purportedly directed this statement at some noisy students. Video recordings of the students’ statements were circulated on social media platforms, prompting an investigation by P. Nagaraj, Block Education Officer, who visited the school and conducted an inquiry.
Despite the teacher’s denial of the allegations, the students maintained their claims, leading to her transfer and the launch of an official inquiry. She began her new assignment on September 1.
