The Karnataka Secondary Education Examinations Board has announced the timetable for preparatory exams for class 10 students (SSLC). The exams will be held between February 21 to 26, 2022.
On day one of the exams, the 100 marks paper for the first language will be held for three hours and 15 minutes. This will be followed by a social studies examination on February 22. Baring the first language, students will answer an 80-mark question paper for all other core subjects and languages.
Students will write the second language paper on February 23. In Karnataka students choose between English and Kannada as their second language. Mathematics exams are scheduled for February 24.
Following this, the third language paper is scheduled on February 25. Both the second and third language papers are to be completed within a timeframe of three hours, of which 15 minutes additional time is given for students to read the question paper. On the last day, February 26, students will appear for science exams.
Meanwhile, in a media statement, the minister for primary and secondary education, BC Nagesh updated the status of vaccination among students in Karnataka. He said that the state has set a target to vaccinate 31.75 lakh students between the age group of 15-18. Out of this, as of January 13, 17.81 lakh have been vaccinated. He also expressed that the response from students and their parents has been commendable as students are gathering in large numbers for the vaccination drives in schools and colleges.
The minister added that a special camp would be conducted after identifying the out-of-school children and it will be ensured that they are vaccinated.
