IN PURSUIT OF SOCIAL IMPACT

Kasiga School

Offering Cambridge and CBSE curricula, Kāsiga School under the aegis of Maya Educational Group, a hallmark of world class education, is a premium residential school in Dehradun, the education hub of India.

We provide our young enthusiasts with a learning system that pursues social impact via entwining wings of novelty, technology, and edification approaches to address social, economic, ethical, political, cultural, technological and ecological through a treasure of multifaceted teaching – learning resources, excellent infrastructure and inclusive pedagogical tools.

“When the why is clear, the how is easy”: Jim Rohn
Ab initio societal impact was at the epicentre, consequently, Kāsiga envisioned to create of responsible global citizens who contribute to society with empathy in a progressive educational space that fosters creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and value based-practices whereas its mission foreknows education as a force that aids people, nations and cultures unite and have a sustainable future. The social impact fulcrum at Kāsiga School encompasses the paradigms of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and more accurately UNSDGs No. 3, 4, 5,6,
partially 9, 12, 13, and 15.

This stimulates assurance and actions with regard to the community inhabiting the periphery of the school coupled with learners’ and enrolled human resource’s good health and well-being, quality education prospects, gender equality, responsible consumption and production, climate action, concerns for life on land, community service, supporting the deprived, sanitation drive with a hope that the allied practices will result in societal equity, peace, fairness and thereby realizing a strong, multicultural and ethical institution of residential learning.

Quoting one of such endeavours, Kāsiga School, Dehradun hosted the Conference of Schools, COS-2022 to collaborate and contribute within a suite of prevention, mitigation, and adaptation strategies essential to deal with climate change. Akin to the Conference of the Parties (COP) at United Nations, the young delegates debated and deliberated solutions to mitigate climate change. Experiential learning as this gives wings to their exuberant minds steering them from “being taught” to the paradigm of “guided self learning”.

Delving deeper into the project-based learning experiences rendered at Kāsiga, learners collaboratively identify learning experiences that help them mature deep content knowledge, critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication skills.

At Kāsiga, teachers are not the fountains of knowledge and the sole provider of it, instead they serve as the stimuli for encouraging students to think critically, ponder, discuss and then communicate their conclusions, drawing from the knowledge they already possess.

India’s present education system especially the schools & #39; sector is passing through a metamorphosis. Choices and odds of survival in the face of stiff competitiveness are limited but for the clientele (parents and students) it’s infinite. Therefore, these practices as aforementioned must be reinforced with objectivity and clear sense of purpose. For that reason, Kāsiga takes a leap of both imagination and courage to break away from the rudimentary practices… from the way things are into the ways, trends, systems, and practices (qualitatively) ought to be.
