Kendriya Vidyalaya, Keltron Nagar, Kannur is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school was started in October 1986 with classes up to V in a temporary shelter near the present site. The school moved to its permanent location in 1995 after the Government of Kerala handed over 10.5 acres of land to the school for the construction of the new campus.
Spread over 10.5 acres, the school campus hosts 36 spacious classrooms, well equipped labs for math, chemistry, physics and biology, a junior science lab, an air conditioned computer lab, an e-lab with LCD projector, computer, and internet. The school also hosts a well-stocked library, music room, medical room, air conditioned AV room, multipurpose conference room, an activity/CMP room, sports room, open air auditorium (Assembly Hall), mini gymnasium and a children’s park.
The sports infrastructure includes facilities for kho kho, throwball, football, volleyball and an indoor indoor games room for carrom and table tennis.
Affiliated with CBSE, the school offers education from class I through XII with Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) as the pattern of assessment. The teaching methodology of the school integrates technology tools to aid the traditional method of classroom learning along with supported activities such as seminars, conferences, guest lectures, exhibitions etc.

The school issues application forms in February every year and the last date for registration is March 10 with the first list of selected candidates being announced on March 13 and list of category I and II candidates announced on March 21. The new academic session commences in April.
