KIIT Group of Colleges, Gurugram recently hosted its convocation ceremony at Bhondsi, Gurugram campus. A total of 608 students from KIIT College of Engineering, KIIT College of Education and Kamrah Institute of Information Technology received their degrees on the occasion in the presence of chief guest Professor Bijender Kumar Punia, vice chancellor of Maharishi Dayanand University.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Punia said, “Today’s youth has a very important role in nation building. Youth should come up with new ideas so as to fulfill your duties in pursuing the country. Most important is to eliminate the fear inside. He added that mobile phone nowadays has become a friend – though it is essential but the outer world is way beyond it.”
In the convocation ceremony, 214 students of B Tech and M.Tech, 136 of BBA and MBA, 125 students of MCA, BCA and 134 students of B.Ed and M.ED. were awarded their degrees. Gold and meritorious medals were given to 30 students in the ceremony. Seven students were awarded the PS Grover and the Sudarshan Grover Awards and the Late Satya Kamraah Award
Addressing the audience on the occasion, chairman of the KIIT Group of College, BR Kamrah, told the students that there is neither limit to education nor any age. It is a long-standing, unseen path strewn with many milestones. Today’s youth are very impatient and look for speedy career growth. They must realise, however, that professional life is very long and the focus should always be on a long-term goal.”
During the closing ceremony, members of the management of KIIT College offered words of appreciation and encouragement to all the students.
The event was also graced by the registrar of KIIT College Neelima Kamrah, CEO Harsh Kamrah, director general SS Agrawal and principal M Sen Gupta.
