KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR) was founded in 1981 as a part of the Somaiya Vidyavihar Educational Complex promoted by Padmabhushan Late Shri K J Somaiya in 1959. It was set up with the objective of providing state-of-the-art education in management and allied areas. The institute maintains a healthy faculty student ratio of 1:15. Sited on a 50 acres campus, it offers an environment conducive to learning and a range of courses in management.
KJ Somaiya Institute of Management is an Autonomous Educational Institute approved by University Grant Commission, and is a constituent Institute of Somaiya Vidyavihar University (SVU). The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited PGDM and MMS programmes of the institute for five years and it has received permanent affiliation from the University of Mumbai. K J Somaiya Institute of Management Placement Details (MBA Full-Time Batch 2020):
Students pursuing or having completed a minimum of three-year graduation programme in any discipline with minimum 50 percent marks from any recognized university, are eligible for PGDM courses. Shortlisted candidates need to appear for CAT examination.
For full time Masters degree programme, admissions are done as per the guidelines of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra.
