A team of three students from KLE PU College emerged as winners of Manthan, the national-level annual quiz competition organized by the Alumni Association of Mount Carmel College (Autonomous) in association with Education World.
The winners were Adith Kumar Shetty, Akhilesh R and Kishan S of KLE PU College, Bengaluru.
National level inter school quiz competition is open to students of grades 11 and 12 (or first and second PU).
This is the second edition of the event. This year saw as many as 35 teams of three members each from different educational institutes in the country participate.
“The event was moderated by Quiz master Berty Ashley, the 25-questions preliminary round of the competition was witnessed by 35 teams. Of these, eight best teams were selected and six later made it for the final round which was organized on Thursday,” explained Dr Kavya, Associate Professor, Mount Carmel College and General secretary Alumni Association.
While the winning team bagged a Rs 25,000 award and certificate, the first runner-up won an award of Rs 15,000 and the second runner up bagged a prize of Rs 10,000.
