La Trobe Business School announces new scholarships

According to an official release on September 26, a senior delegation, lead by Professor Paul Mather, head of La Trobe Business School (LBS) of La Trobe University (LTU), Australia visited India recently with the aim of creating new and improved opportunities for students of both countries through numerous study programmes and further enhance the existing relations between the two countries. 

Prof. Mather said, “La Trobe University’s constant endeavour to engage with key countries in our region and to keep creating enhanced opportunities for students has brought us back to India this year. Our New offerings and scholarship should help students from India get maximum benefit from the expertise within La Trobe Business School.” 

“La Trobe University has jumped about 200 places in the latest Academic Ranking of World Universities. It is placed 336th in the world and it means that the University is placed in the top 400 in the world in all three recognised international rankings of universities,” added Prof  Mather. 

NEW LBS PROGRAMMES 

La Trobe Business School, Australia has introduced new programmes such as the ‘Master of Professional Accounting (CPA Australia Extension), ‘Master of Professional Accounting (Business Analytics) and Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of International Relations’ Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Computer Science’ for both domestic as well as international markets. 

La Trobe Business School, Australia is also offering programmes such as the ‘Master of Business Analytics along with wide range of business and management courses’ for both domestic as well as international markets. It is projected by 2018, the US market alone will require an additional 140,000-190,000 analytics professionals and1.5 million more managers with knowledge in analytics. 

NEW SCHOLARSHIPS ANNOUNCED 

Once again La Trobe Business School, Australia is offering scholarships to the value of 15 percent, 20 percent and 25 percent of the total tuition fee for undergraduate as well as postgraduate international students for academic session commencing in 2017. These scholarships are merit based and will be offered to students based on their prior academic performance. These scholarships will be offered to students on a first come first serve basis.

Recently, multi-award winning Bollywood Actress Vidya Balan visited La Trobe University campus in Melbourne for Bollywood launch for La Trobe Education Program in India to meet staff and students taking part in a new international effort to help children with disabilities in India. La Trobe University’s role in India’s ‘Educate the Educators’ programme will promote a collaborative relationship where Australian and Indian teachers work together to address the educational needs of students with diverse abilities. La Trobe University has supported the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) since 2011. This year’s festival is a sponsor of India’s ‘Educate the Educators’ project. Vidya Balan is in Melbourne as a guest of the Festival.
