Comments Kellye Testy, CEO and president of LSAC®, “It is essential for the entire process of educating lawyers to be aligned so that those who are admitted to law school have the best chance to graduate, become licensed, and obtain the employment they desire. Research has shown that the best predictor of success in law school is high-level reasoning and critical reading, and those are the skills that the LSAT–India is designed to assess.”
Divyalok Chetan Sharma, senior director (client development) at Pearson VUE, added, “Law as a profession has undergone a strategic and substantial change over the last few decades. Law students can now specialise in not just civil or criminal laws but also in patent law, corporate law, environmental law opening up a plethora of options in corporate, legal services and administrative services. LSAT—India assess candidates on reading comprehension, logical and verbal reasoning proficiency that are a must for any law aspirant to succeed. Each year more students are opting for law as a career and this field would continue to grow in India”.
