LeapScholar an end-to-end study abroad platform has announced a new partnership with the University of Delaware, a top US research university. In this partnership LeapScholar is offering the University of Delaware’s renowned Master of Science (MS) in Finance program to Indian students. This program is designed to help Indian students earn a master’s degree from the US in a hybrid format, making it more cost-effective.

The University of Delaware’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics is highly regarded and ranked among the Best Graduate Business Schools by U.S. News & World Report. The MS in Finance program will begin with online instruction in India for the first semester and continue with two on-campus semesters in Newark, Delaware. This hybrid approach reduces the overall program cost by up to 30%, providing significant savings for students. Additionally, the program’s eligibility criteria no longer require GRE test scores.

Indian students who have completed either a 3-year undergraduate degree or a 4-year engineering degree are eligible to apply for this program. Notably, the program has a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) designation, allowing Indian students to apply for a 3-year post-study work visa in the US upon graduation, similar to full-time international students.

Vaibhav Singh, Co-Founder of LeapScholar, emphasized the organization’s commitment to democratizing international education and highlighted the benefits of the MS in Finance program’s hybrid format for Indian students. The collaboration with the University of Delaware is seen as a significant milestone in this endeavor, with plans to introduce more hybrid programs for Indian students in the future.

Terry Campbell, Associate Professor of Finance and Program Director of the MS in Finance program at UD’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the program’s STEM designation and its ability to prepare students for success in finance and financial data analytics.

The program’s Spring session is scheduled to commence on February 6, 2024, and applications are currently open for Indian students, with the application deadline set for November 15, 2023.
