Founded in 2009, Legacy School, Bengaluru is a coeducational international day school that imparts schooling from pre-primary level through class XII. In 1984, Priti Sait set up Vidyaniketan Montessori preschool that offered an international pre-primary curriculum for children in the 2 to 6 years age group. Building further upon the mission of the Montessori, Vidyaniketan Academy was founded as an inclusive school offering the international GCSE & GCE curriculum and later reschristened Legacy School.
The school’s mission is to provide a progressive international education in a diverse learner-centred community and believes in empowering children with a meaningful education, which enables them to become reflective and successful individuals who will impact change in a global society.
The 3 acre LAN and Intelligent Wi-Fi enabled school campus hosts 32 spacious classrooms, 38 IT-enabled learning rooms, five well-equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Computer and Graphic Design, a well-stocked library featuring 7800 volumes, access to 80,000 volumes online through the British Council’s Library and access to Pro Quest online database, InThinking, IB Business Management and Apple Digital Library & iTunes U.
Other facilities include synthetic basketball court, four auditoriums with seating capacity of 400, a 450 seater amphitheatre, 75 workstations and 14 faculty cabins.
The Legacy School curriculum draws from pedagogical approaches such as constructivism, inquiry- based, reflective, collaborative, and integrative. The school provides opportunities for the children to explore, learn, grow and develop by facilitating an environment that is inclusive and offers positive learning.
Legacy School offers all four of the Cambridge International qualifications from class I-XII.
Class I – V: Cambridge International Primary Curriculum
Class VI – VIII: Cambridge International Lower Secondary Curriculum
Class IX – X: Cambridge IGCSE / ICE
Class XI & XII: Cambridge Advanced – AS & A Levels and AICE Diploma
In addition, as an authorised International Baccalaureate World School, the school offers the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) for students of classes XI & XII.
Extra-curricular activities
The school offers a wide array of extra-curricular activities for every child to discover and explore their talents and interests.
Art & craft, dance, music, theatre, sports, yoga, student clubs, educational field trips, guest speakers, outbound and experiential learning programmes, student led conferences, Model United Nations (MUN), university visits and various workshops are some of the key areas that are integrated to complement a child’s learning.

SportsAdmission process is as follows:
Online Registration – Parents need to submit an inquiry for their children’s admission by completing the online registration process.
Attend an Information Session & Campus Tour – After receiving the registration form, the school invites the parents for an information session and campus tour.
Completion of application forms – Parents need to download, print, complete and submit the application and supplementary forms that are available in application kit.
Evaluation – Applicants are assessed based on their prior academic reports to determine their eligibility for admission. Applicants seeking admission to high school are required to take placement assessments to determine their level of preparedness, their eligibility to succeed in the programme and to determine if they are a good fit for the institution.
Admissions decision – Once a completed application is received, it is reviewed by the Admissions Committee and admission decision is released by email individually.
Confirmation of enrollment – After parents receive the intimation of their child’s admission, they will be requested to confirm their child’s admission by a prescribed deadline.
Fee– The annual tuition fee is as follows for different classes:
Primary (I to V) – Rs 2,37,000/-
Secondary (VI to X) – Rs 2,58,000/-
Higher secondary (XI, XII) – Rs 4,41,000/- for CAIE and Rs 4,80,000/- for IBDP
Being a day school, Legacy School does not provide accommodation facility.
