Little Flower High School, Hyderabad was promoted in July 1953 by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel under the guidance of Reverend Brother John of God. The school was recognized as a minority institution by the government in 1960. It is a coeducational day school offering education from lower kindergarten to class X.
The school aims at “all round personality development of the student and an education, which is person oriented, social and culture – related, professional and work-oriented.”
In the academic year 2009-10, Outlook magazine ranked Little Flower High School as the best school in Hyderabad.
Says a school spokesperson, “Our teaching strategies and evaluation systems are constantly being evolved to meet the changing needs of the society. A genuine effort is made to inculcate a positive attitude towards the underprivileged by taking up various service-oriented programmes.”
The school offers world class infrastructure to cater to the academics and extracurricular pursuits of the students. Facilities include two well stocked libraries, an auditorium, multipurpose hall, audio-visual room, digital library, a craft room, art room, language lab, science and computer labs.
Sports facilities include volleyball courts, basketball, courts, cricket, gymnasium and table tennis facilities.
The school has been recognized by the Government of Telangana and affiliated with the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana. The curriculum is made engaging by involving the students in project work, experiments and other assignment works. The teaching strategies and evaluation systems are constantly evolved to meet the changing needs of the society. An effort is made to inculcate a positive attitude towards the underprivileged by taking up various community service-oriented programmes. The school follows the house system and the students are split into 4 houses i.e. Cosmonauts, Aeronauts, Astronauts and Argonauts.
Extracurricular: The school promotes a host of co-curricular activities and encourages the students to participate in literary, cultural and sports events, with a view to nurture and develop talents to a level of excellence, keeping the students highly motivated. The Grade Point Average is calculated for every student taking into consideration not just academics, but also literary and cultural activities, sports and games, discipline, punctuality, regularity to class, attitude towards school, teachers and fellow pupils. Various clubs such as Eco club, HAM, Interact, NIE, NCC, Dance, Music, Drama and Drawing clubs actively involve students in various hobbies.

Admissions to LKG are through a common admission procedure. Registration forms are usually issued by the third week of November. The vacancy list for classes I to IX will is displayed on the school notice board by the third week of April. The original birth certificate of the child has to be produced at the time of admission.
