The Maharashtra government is committed to providing quality education through cutting-edge technology so that economically backward students can obtain quality education in a competitive era, Minister of School Education Dadaji Bhuse said here today.
Mr. Bhuse was assuming charge of the School Education Department at the Ministry in the presence of 50 students from Zilla Parishad, Municipal Corporation, and private schools in Nashik who have achieved excellence in various fields.
Addressing the assembly, Mr. Bhuse said that the Department would provide nutritious food and focus on students. It will also take up various issues afflicting 7 lakh 29 thousand teachers attached to 1 lakh 8 thousand schools.
An action plan will be prepared for various initiatives and schemes, he said. “In the next few days, we will discuss the same with teachers, students, parents, and educational institutions in rural and urban areas.”
Safety and health rules will be strictly followed, Mr. Bhuse said. “Villagers and parents will also be requested to cooperate.”
Minister of State for School Education Pankaj Bhoyar noted that Maharashtra has a legacy of glorious traditions.
A student, Pranjali Jadhav, said that great men like Mahatma Phule, Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule, the architect of the Constitution Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, and others had emphasized the importance of education.
