MAHE to vaccinate students free of cost

Manipal Academy of Higher Education on the road to eradicating drug abuse

In a bid to ensure safety for all its students, Manipal Academy of Higher Education will be organising a free vaccination drive for all the students across its institutions. In this endeavour, MAHE plans to vaccinate 25,000 students. This measure will ensure safety of all its students in the campus. The school administration will bear the entire cost of this vaccination drive for its students.

Dr HS Ballal, Pro Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, said, “We are delighted to organise vaccination drive for all our students. MAHE is in the forefront to set up the drive to ensure safety for all its students, this will be a great milestone for MAHE. The drive will be organised in line with the Government of India protocols. It is important for everyone to get vaccinated in order to fight the virus and contain the spread.”

Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) said“It is with immense pleasure we announce the free vaccination programme for all our students at MAHE. Students are the backbone of MAHE and it is our responsibility to immunise them to safe guard their health and wellness. Our endeavour is to help speedy vaccination of our students and do our bit to the national effort of vaccination for all. ” 

Dr Narayana Sabhahit, Registrar, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, said,We are happy to extend vaccination support to all our students. At MAHE, we have always provided help and support to our students under all circumstances especially in the challenging times of the pandemic. We will organise a seamless drive for our students which will ensure they get their jabs as per the guidelines of the Ministry.”

MAHE has already started vaccinating students who are present on campus in the hostels. The drive will also help all our students who are residing in and around Manipal. These students are requested to contact their respective institutions to get their vaccinations. This effort will continue to vaccinate all other students as and when they return to the campus.
