More philanthropy schools!
I am a teacher at an NGO-run informal school for students from underprivileged households. Recently I came across Part II of your EW India School Rankings 2024-25 (EW October) in my dentist’s clinic.
I appreciate your efforts to rank Philanthropic schools across the country. The Satya Bharti schools, Christel House, Future Hope among others are doing a commendable job.
However, I am unimpressed by the number of schools — a mere 28 — your esteemed magazine has ranked in this category. I hope to see see at least 100 philanthropy schools ranked next year.

Important name change
Earlier this year, our school’s name was officially changed from L.A. Singhania Education Centre, Jhalawar to Lala Kamlapat Singhania Education Centre, Jhalawar. Please make this change in the rankings league table published in the September issue.

For the past two years, we have been featured under the Co-ed Day Schools category instead of International Day Schools category. Please clarify how the categorisation process works.

Significant name change
Thank you for the honour of ranking us the #1 school in Meerut and #21 in Uttar Pradesh. This recognition holds special significance for us. However, we request a correction in our school’s name.
The school is now known as Dayawati Modi Academy as reflected in CBSE records, and not Dayawati Modi International School.

Disheartening rank
Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan’s #3 rank under the Central Government Day Schools category is disheartening to say the least. We are the 70-year-old flagship school of the Central government-sponsored Army Public Group of Schools and deserve to be ranked #1 under all parameters of government school education excellence.
Our academic result for CBSE class X exam has been exceptionally good; our students have excelled in many international/national co-curricular and sports competitions; APS DK has contributed maximum number of officers to the defence services and boasts modern infrastructure and facilities. May we request you to revisit your criteria in evaluating our school.

• In Part II of EW India School Rankings 2024-25 (EW October, page 159) the name of the Principal of Rashtriya Military School, Bengaluru, ranked India’s #1 government boarding school, was inadvertently published as Col. Rahul Aggarwal instead of Lt-Col K. Anup Nair.
• In the Kanpur city league table (EW September, p.104), DPS Barra, Kanpur has been inadvertently published as DPS Burra Road.
