Within the Mizoram school education department, a notable vacuum of 2,991 positions has been revealed, a topic addressed by Education Minister Dr. Vanlalthlana during a session in the state Assembly on Tuesday. Responding to an inquiry from MNF member Prova Chakma, the minister assured that the administration is actively taking steps to fill these vacant roles in adherence to the existing recruitment protocols. Stressing the importance of a merit-based approach, Vanlalthlana outlined the commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process.
Moreover, the minister shed light on the government’s strategy for teacher rationalization, emphasizing the significance of prioritizing schools facing shortages in staffing. This comprehensive approach aims not only to fill vacancies but also to strategically allocate educators to regions where they are most needed, ultimately enhancing the quality of education across the Mizoram school system.
