Modern Vidya Niketan (MVN) is a co-educational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Founded by Gopal Sharma in 1983, the Modern Vidya Niketan (MVN), Sector 17, Faridabad, Haryana, is run by the MVN Society which also administers two K-12 schools (in Aravalli and Palwal) and the MVN University. Through its mission — “True to Education” – the institution seeks to make its students self-reliant, compassionate and lifelong learners.
Over the years, MVN, Sector 17 has earned a reputation for its rigorous academics with several students gaining admission into the IITs. In the 2008-09 session over 140 MVNites made it to IITs – the highest number from any single institution in India.
The school is housed on a sprawling campus of more than 24 acres. The classrooms are air-conditioned, spacious and equipped with overhead digital projectors and sound systems. The science and computer labs are equipped with the latest hardware and software. The school library has a vast collection of books and subscribes to online journals, DELNET and book banks. The school also has a conference hall, placement office, faculty rooms and broadband wi-fi network.
MVN offers the CBSE curriculum from nursery to class XII. The school is well-known for producing CBSE board toppers.
MVN offers excellent facilities for skating, basketball and swimming and recreational activities such as music, science exhibitions, eco club and arts and crafts.

Registration forms can be downloaded from the school website and application forms are available at the school office. Applicants for KG to class VI have to write an entrance test in English and math. Applicants seeking admissions for classes VII to IX have to write tests in science, math and English.
Fees: The annual fee is Rs.70,000 to Rs.90,000.
MVN has an excellent track record of producing academic toppers with several of its students qualifying for admission into the IITs. In 2002-03 24 students qualified for admission into the prestigious IITs, followed by 27 in 2003-04, 20 IITians in 2004-05, 21 in 2005-06 and a record breaking 41 students in 2006-07 as well as the 2007-08 sessions. The 2008-09 sessions saw 140 MVNites making it to IITs, the highest number from any single institution in India so far. Moreover, Nitin Jain topped the 2009 All India Merit list of IIT-JEE & AIEEE.
The school is ranked among the top co-ed day schools in India by the EducationWorld India School Rankings 2021-22.
