Mount St Mary’s School is a kindergarten to class XII co-educational day school in Delhi affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It was established in 1963 with six teachers and 85 students and promoted by the Brothers of St Patrick (Patrician Brothers) on the invitation of the Indian Army.
According to a school spokesperson: “Mount St Mary’s considers formation of character the first essential of any sound educational system, hence great stress is laid on the inculcation of high ideals, gentlemanly behaviour and moral rectitude.”
The 13.9-acre school campus is sited in Delhi Cantt. on defence land. It boasts 40 classrooms, three science, one math and two computer labs. The campus also hosts a library, a science park, an auditorium, conference hall, three music rooms, a dance room and a brain gym. The outdoor campus offers facilities for cricket, football, basketball, tennis and volleyball besides a skating rink, and a swimming pool.
The school is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and offers its class X and class XII exams. In the plus two (All India Secondary School Certificate Examination) it offers two streams: arts and science.
Extra-curricular: There are student clubs for dramatics, music (western and Indian), choreography and photography. The school also regularly conducts debates, elocution and quizzes contests and organizes cultural and educational excursions.

This school is sited on defence land and as per the lease agreement, 70 percent of seats are reserved for the children of defence personnel & children of civilians residing in the cantonment area. Defence quota apart, given that Mary’s is a minority institution, Christians and Catholics of Delhi Cantt. Zone is given preference followed by children of alumni and siblings of already enrolled children. The remaining seats are open to the general category.
Parents must visit the school office to obtain any admission related information. The school admits children in kindergarten.
