Mumbai University wins inter-varsity research competition for the 6th time

Mumbai University has secured first place for the sixth consecutive year in the 17th Maharashtra State Inter-University Invention Research Competition held at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar University of Technology, Lonere.

Securing the top position with 13 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze medals, Mumbai University bested 23 competitors.

All 24 universities of the state participated in the research festival held between January 12 and 15, 2025, each sending 48 projects in the following categories: Humanities, Languages ​​and Arts, Commerce Management and Law, Basic Sciences, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Engineering and Technology, and Medicine and Pharmacy. Out of 48 research projects sent by Mumbai University, 23 bagged awards.

The awards ceremony at the Raj Bhavan was attended by Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University Prof.Ravindra Kulkarni, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Ajay Bhamre, Registrar Dr. Prasad Karande, as well as academics Dr. Sunil Patil, Dr. Manish Deshmukh, Dr. Vaishali Nirmalkar, Prof.Dr. Shashikumar Menon, Prof. Dr.Sunita Shailjan, Dr. Meenakshi Gurav, Dr. Bhushan Langi, Dr. Rupa Rao and students of Mumbai University.

Gold medal winners are Bandabe, Zanetta Raymond, Radhika Bhargava, Shreyans Kamble, Chaitali Bane, Krishnakant Lasune, Farheen Sheikh, Vivek Shukla, Ankit Gohil, Shrawani Wadekar, Tanisha Kaur , Pratik Meher and Vaishnavi Parab.
