Ghaziabad based ABES Engineering College hosted Genero’15, an inter college national level techno-cultural festival from October 15 to October 17.
Genero’15 was based on the theme Myth, Paradoxes and Mysteries that unraveled the enigma, throughout. It was an endeavor that encouraged the students to exhibit their talent in the best way possible. The three day excitement packed mega event encompassed not only “everything technical”, but also provided students some time to relax by staging a myriad of cultural events.
Genero’15 offered a uniquely challenging platform for the young talent from numerous esteemed institutions across the country, thereby flaring the zeal within them to compete for an honour. The festival diversified itself by presenting a wide array of events in various fields of technology, science and management.
More than 70 events including Innovatia coding, photoshop, debugging; robo-race, robo-war, boat race, water rocket, presentation and junk-yard accompanied by carted palasis, Bob the Builder archepedia, exhibition and games such as NFS, counter strike, cricket and tekken were hostee at Genero’15 wherein the college witnessed participation from more than 10 institutes. Cultural events included dance, singing, face off, street dance, treasure hunt, roadies, face art, sketching and rangoli along with various dramatics activities. The fest also unveiled the first edition of ‘Aagaz, beyond the blue sky’, publication by students of ABES EC.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation on all the three days with events such as Theatre ‘Court Martial’ by Asmita Group, Battle of Bands and Live concert by Bhula Dena singer “Mustafa Zahid” who tuned the bollywood chart busters from film Awarapan, ‘Khuda Kay Liye’ from the film Runway, Tera Mera Rishta, Junoon’ from Shootout at Wadala and many more along with his band Roxen. Zahid is considered to be one of the top vocalists in Pakistan and is also gaining popularity worldwide.
Talking about his performance, Zahid said, “It was great to perform in this part of the world. I am here to perform at ABES Engineering College with my band Roxen. My love for singing urged me to be here amongst the students of management and I am honoured to see such a wonderful and cheering crowd here as I love singing live for college students.”
