Overview

Navrachana International School, Vadodara (NISV), was founded by Mrs. Tejal Amin, Executive Chairperson of the Navrachana Education Society (NES). NES was established in 1965 as a registered charitable trust managed by a Board of Trustees comprising educationists, philanthropists, and administrators. The Society has been providing quality education to the residents of Vadodara for six decades. The Executive Committee manages administration, technology-aided learning, and education management, while academic operations are overseen by the Principal and faculty. NES also provides support services such as meals, transportation, and infrastructure.

The mission of the school is to foster excellence through Educating, Empowering, and Enlightening students. The school’s motto, “Where Excellence Meets Global Vision,” emphasizes holistic development through academic, emotional, ethical, and social growth. NISV offers both day-school and boarding options and promotes international exposure through awards, partnerships, and exchange programs such as Fulbright TGC. The school combines global learning with Indian values and culture to develop responsible global citizens.

Campus

The school campus covers 13.9 acres (56,072 sq. m). It includes smart classrooms, math, science, and STEM laboratories, 3D printing and robotics labs, and more than 22 student clubs. The sports infrastructure includes an Olympic-size swimming pool and facilities for football, basketball, tennis, cricket, and table tennis. Separate hostels for boys and girls are available, accommodating up to 90 students.

Academics

NISV is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and offers classes from Kindergarten to Grade 12 (K–12). The school has 25 ICT-enabled classrooms and five laboratories—ICT, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and General Science.

The teaching methodology follows the 7E Model of Instruction (Elicit, Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate, Extend), based on the constructivist approach. Additional methods include experiential learning for the foundational stage, active learning for the preparatory stage, project-based learning for the middle stage, and competency-based learning for the secondary stage. Skill development is encouraged through clubs and field trips.

The school has 883 students and 62 teachers. The teacher–student ratio is 1:12 for Grades 1–10 and 1:8 for Grades 11–12. Teachers receive 10–11 days of annual training. The education system focuses on holistic development and competency building. Extra-curricular activities include sports, dance, music, and visual arts.
