Medical aspirants in India are awaiting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2022 registration dates. The application process was expected to begin in January itself but speculations suggest that assembly polls might have postponed the dates.
There is no official NEET 2022 registration update but some reports speculate that registration may begin in March and the examination can be scheduled for June. The Covid sitiation in the country could also postpone the date. NEET 2022 will be conducted by National Testing Agency for admission into undergraduate medical and dental courses, including MBBS, Ayush, BDS, among others. NEET qualified students get admission to medical colleges through NEET 2022 counselling which is administered by MCC. There is no announcment of any major changes in the exam pattern or syllabus by NTA as of now.
A one-month window will be given to students to fill-up the form. An application edit option will also be provided for error free forms. Students are advised to keep checking the official websites– neet.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in for NEET 2022 schedule.
The Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health had discussed last year to conduct the exam twice a year to give students an extra chance. The demand further got stronger as suicide cases increased owing to tremendous performance pressure. The engineering exam too has multiple attempts, however, nothing has been conclusive yet.
