New Era High School Panchgani is a co-ed boarding school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Established on August 1, 1945 with 16 children, New Era High School has grown into a leading international educational institution. It is supervised by the New Era School Committee trust and under the guidance of the National Spiritual Assembly of Baha’is of India.
Since the establishment of the school, the diversity of the student body with over 800 students coming from 25 countries, various states of India and diverse religious backgrounds, ensured that children learn to appreciate and respect all beliefs, cultures and nationalities. The school endeavoured over the years to exemplify Baha’u’llah’s teaching, “… the earth is but one country and mankind its citizens.”
The 20-acre campus of New Era High School comprises an amphitheatre, an auditorium and spacious classrooms. There is a dining hall and cafeteria functioning four days a week.
The curriculum in New Era High School includes CBSE 10+2, Programs for Moral Education, Life Skills Development and Holistic growth. New Era High School and Senior Secondary follows the NCERT curriculum of the Central Board of Secondary Education for Standards I to XII and offers two curricula to its students in English medium:

New admissions are open for Standards I to IX and Standard XI. Admissions will be available on a first-come-first-served basis depending on vacancies available in each Standard. All candidates will have to participate in the moral and academic evaluation conducted by the school.
The academic evaluation for admission is done by testing the candidates in mathematics and English for Standard I to VIII. Standard XI will be tested in mathematics, English and science (physics, chemistry & biology).
The entrance exam for Standards I to VII will be conducted online; it will also include an oral evaluation and interview online.
The entrance evaluation process for standards VIII and IX will be done physically on campus of New Era High School. The class XI entrance examination syllabus is based on Class X CBSE portion. Admissions are not accepted for class X and XII.
The New Era athletes showed strength and determination in the 2019-20 district level athletic meet held in Satara. Students participated and won several laurels for the school.
In the CBSE Cluster 9 Basketball State Level Tournament, the girls’ team secured third position and the boys’ team were runners up.
According to the Education World India Rankings 2018, New Era High School stood Second in Maharashtra.
The hostel facilities comprise 23 dormitories in total. There are separate dorms for boys and girls. Each dorm is handled by a dorm-parent who looks into children’s wellbeing and studies.
