According to an official release on November 3, Gurgaon headquartered NIIT, a global leader in skills and talent development, has entered into two strategic tie-ups in Ningxia Province of China to develop a pool of IT professionals who are aligned to the fast-evolving knowledge economy. Towards this, NIIT has signed an MoU with Yinchuan City Economic and Technology Development Zone to open a training centre and train 2500 learners from universities, colleges and enterprises in next 5 years with financial support from Ningxia provincial government. The company also joined hands with Ningxia University to provide IT training through NIIT Inside Model. The signing ceremony was graced by Rahul Patwardhan, CEO, NIIT Ltd; Xian Hui, governor of Ningxia province and Wang Heshan, vice governor of Ningxia in an event organised in Yinchuan city.
Under the MoU with Yinchuan City Economic and Technology Development Zone, NIIT will establish a training base in public-private partnership model supported by Ningxia Province, to conduct IT training in Digital Transformation technologies. The MoU was signed by Kamal Dhuper, country head, NIIT China and Liang Yabin, director of IBI Incubation Park, Yinchuan City. NIIT team led by Patwardhan also had a meeting with party secretary of Ningxia Li Jianhua, governor Xian Hui and mayor of Yinchuan Bai Shangcheng before the signing ceremony.
NIIT and Ningxia University, the leading University in Ningxia province also joined hands, wherein NIIT will facilitate state-of-the-art ‘Inside Model’ in the University. ‘NIIT Inside Model’ is a unique curriculum integration model for co-operation with universities and colleges in China where NIIT programs will be embedded in university/college IT curriculum. Students may undergo a 4-year Bachelor Degree programmr or a 3-year Associate Degree program post 12th grade in Information Technology. University system continues to teach the subjects such as language, science etc. to obtain a Bachelor Degree, the high-end IT module shall be provided by NIIT. The students will get the degree from the University and receive a certificate from NIIT. The NIIT Inside Model is successfully running in over 180 plus universities/institutions in various Asian countries. In Ningxia University, GNIIT programme will be embedded to enrol and train students in software engineering every year for next 3 years starting from September 2017. The agreement was signed by Dhuper and He Jianguo, president of Ningxia University.
