NMIMS announces NPAT 2016 for admission to UG programmes

In order to address the grave issue of employability faced by the youth in the country, SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), has designed a number of pioneering graduate and post graduate programmes, in the fields of engineering, pharmacy, business administration, commerce, economics, finance, and management. 
The courses are customised to the needs of prospective employers and have been designed in consultation with relevant stakeholders. With its unique pedagogy, NMIMS has emerged as a credible and innovative thought leader over the years. NMIMS is pleased to announce the entrance test “NPAT 2016” (NMIMS Programmes after 12th) for admissions to these undergraduate degrees and 5 year Integrated degree programmes such as B.Tech, MBA (Tech), MBA (Pharma Tech.), BBA, B.Com. (Hons.), B.Sc. (Finance), BBA-MMS, and B.Sc. Economics. These programmes are being offered by various constituent schools of NMIMS at Mumbai, Shirpur, and Bengaluru. 

Candidates appearing for their class 12 finals from any board can register online for NPAT-2016 on www.nmims.edu before May 3, 2016 to apply for these courses. The test will be held on May 14 & 15, 2016 at multiple centres in 20 cities across the country. 

Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering offers 4 year B.Tech. and 5 year integrated MBA (Tech) which is an integration of technology and management. 

Similarly, the NMIMS SPP School of Pharmacy & Technology Management offers 5 years MBA (Pharma Tech.) which is tailor-made to suit the needs of Pharma & Healthcare industry, with students getting a postgraduate degree in management with the expertise and technical knowledge of pharmacy education. 

BBA and B.Com. (Honours) emphasises on the overall development of a student to excel as an administrator, and take managerial decisions and prove to be more directly employable. Students can opt for the post graduate degree in management (PGDM) course or the B.Sc. (Finance) programme which has been designed to facilitate the students to pursue C.F.A; they can also pursue MBA in Finance. 

The BBA-MMS programme offers an opportunity to selected students to secure direct admission into post graduate management programme without any hassles of entrance examinations. Admission is based on student’s performance upto the end of second year of BBA. 

B.Sc. Economics goes beyond Economics and offers the students knowledge in subjects such as Law, Logic, Managerial Accounts and Analysis of Financial Statements as well as Humanities. 

All the aforementioned programmes are offered by NMIMS (Deemed to be University) at its Mumbai campus. Engineering and Pharmacy residential programmes are also available at Shirpur campus (Dist. Dhule, Maharashtra). From 2016-17 academic session, programmes such as BBA, B.Sc. Economics, and B.Sc. Finance will also be offered at Bengaluru campus.
Admissions to these programmes are conducted through NPAT 2016 entrance exam. NPAT tests the scholastic aptitude of candidates through Quantitative and Numerical Ability, Reasoning and Intelligence and proficiency in English Language. It is designed on similar test patterns for school graduates.
