The National Testing Agency (NTA) which conducts the entrance examinations for educational institutions has begun the registrations for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2023 for admission into Undergraduate Programmes in Central Universities under Ministry of Education, and other participating universities (including state universities, deemed and private universities), institutions, organizations and autonomous colleges across the country.
CUET (UG) 2023 will be conducted in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode from 21 May 2023 onwards and will continue till May 31, 2023. Online submission of application form will be accepted from February 9 to March 12 2023 (up to 09:00 P.M.). The last date of of submitting fees is March 12, 2023 (up to 11:50 P.M.). The correction window will be opened from March 15 to 18, 2023 (Up to 11:50 P.M.).
The details of the programmes offered by Central Universities (CUs) and other participating Universities are available on their respective websites as well as on https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/. Students have to refer to the eligibility requirements of the programmes offered by various central universities and participating universities in this regard.
NTA has further informed that the examination city will be announced on April 30, 2023. Admit cards can be downloaded from the NTA website during the second week of the May 2023.
As per official notification, the examination will be conducted in 13 languages – English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Education Subhas Sarkar had earlier clarified that there is no proposal to hold the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) twice a year. He made this statement in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha. “No such proposal is under consideration to conduct CUET exam twice a year,” the minister said. It may be mentioned here that University Grants Commission chairman Mamidala Jagdesh Kumar had last year mentioned that there was a possibility that CUET would be conducted twice a year which would further help the student to plan and attempt.

University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman M Jagadesh Kumar had earlier said the exam was cancelled at several centres following reports of “sabotage”.
